1st assignment!

thankyou thankyou benson for helping me out this morning.. finally fixed the stupid tomcat problem.. forgot to mention i actually tried setting it up at home last night and got the same errors... apparently its the different versions of jdks i have on the computer that confuses tomcat..... so good, everything is solved! :D

went to ask for work... and i have a store procedure to write.. turned out to be super easy... could've done it in 10mins.. i just had to play around w/ sql server and stuff to find out where to get the info...... yea, i got sql server installed and also got cvs access by the afternoon.... BUT..... took me... or us... ahh.a.... till like 5 to figure out how to get it working.... stupid Opta2000!!!! i was missing this jar the whole time... !! grrrrrr spent so much time to fix it..... just one stupid file...... can't their error msgs be more direct?! anyways... so yea, after the store procedure, i will have to write the java code for it... so now that i have the source code.... tomorrow la... will ask james how to do it.. hehehee..... wrote down all the cvs steps so that i can help kathy set up when she arrives... yup, that's the new comer on the 10th... so i actually won't be that new for long....

ah, after lunch went to eaton ceter w/ vincent... literally pui him buy makeup box for his friend in sephora.. so funny.. hahaa.. but that store really smells.. i don't like it.. :P and i'm slowly getting all my accesses ga la.... still need to figure out how to get my hr password.... the white envelope never appeared...... weird.... ohoh and i got paid today!! wkakaak.. of course not much, just 4 days of work.. but i got paid!! :D

left early today as i'd rather start the java stuff tmr rather than getting it started then leave it for the night..... and ran into iris on the go train.. hehee... didn't know she's on the same line, i always thought she takes the lakeshore line...... so lucky everytime it rained heavily today i was indoor or in the car..... me really need to get an umbrella.....

meetings

finally have my login today!!! around 10 i think? yea..... so had something to play with until lunch.. heheee..... the intranet, customizing my desktop.... and started setting up tomcat + etc...

came back up... hea a bit it was lunch time~ yea... hehee.... since we have team meeting at 1, everyone went to eat around 1230.... thanks for da spoon vincent... stupid me brought lunch without a spoon.. :P and thankyou erin for keeping me safe from mr. weirdo in da kitchen, omg i was so scared.. if he started talking to me i wouldn't know what to do.. .. i kept starring at the microwave and ran out of the kitchen once my food was heated..... !!! glenn changed my wallpaper while i was ding-ing my food..... apparently they do that to each other whenever ppl don't lock their computers... hahaaa

then comes the team meeting... it started off with a silly question.... errrrr (yea... silly question)... question of the day is: did u have any imaginary friends when you were small and if yes, what were their names? of all the people only glenn and erin admitted it... hahahaaa...... well, chinese, what do u expect... :P she said this will happen in every meeting from now on... o god..... @@" then it was the updates la.... they were very nice to give me bg info on each item before going into the update... eventho i still only understand probably 20% of everything.... :P the 2nd half of the meeting was at the pod since we got kicked out.... lasted until around 3.... then i had 1 hr to continue setting up/solving my tomcat problem... and went to erin's office at 4... our 1-1 meeting for questions and comments..... she gave me a mini lesson on the business, hehee... ho choi me understand it je..... and lotsa junk talk too.... pranks they pull on each other and such..... at least i know they are not workaholic.... :)

so yea, didn't get out of her office till 530, which is when the train leaves... so i had no choice but to stay until 6...... tired today too......

got home and booked summerlicious for the girls... :) i thought everything would be full by now.. but we're lucky i guess.. hehehee.... so july 10th is the day~

gary said he got a called from a company that sounded like "kroll" asking for references about me...... i have no idea what/who that would be..... so weird....... hmmmmmm....

after talking to dad about go trains...... i've decided to go against his suggestion.. hehee.... i'll go with cooksville from now on...... :)

battle #1 - fighting for parking spot @ erindale....... i ended up parking at an illegal spot.... o wells, couldn't afford to drive to cooksville again... hmm but i'm still thinking if i should stick with erindale or move to cooksville starting next month...... what should i do?

battle #2 - fighting to stay awake in da morning reading the boring jsp book again... yup, i have MY computer on my desk today but i don't have my login......... good thing lur sent me to the trade floor for an hour of intro of the app. with alvin ja... or else... bore die me....

lunched @ some far building food court for chinese food, ok wor.. hehee.... and got my name tag when i got back to the office... :D

battle #3 - pretending to read da jsp book in the afternoon all da way till 6PM!!! ><~~~ i gave up on actually reading it la.... hooooooo moon ga..... !! haha i ran into "heung lay" in da washroom in the afternoon... :P

battle #4 - 2.5 hrs of meeting listening to things i totally have absolutely no idea about..... @@" so hard to stay awake contact lens were dry.... it was 6-8PM i'm hungry, pizza tastes nasty.. hahha... but its needed ge... i need to know what's going on w/ the dept and the application...... gotta learn the terms tho...... ho confusing......

waited for almost 1/2 hour for da stupid bus to come........ didn't get home till 9-ish..... tired!!!!!

this morning got to erindale no parking spots!!! grrrrrrr... ho choi yau plan b.. i drove around the parking lot for like 10mins then give up... drove to cooksville....... bought jor tix and actually was in time to catch an earlier bus.. heheee... good... got to dt around 925..... jung yau time jau went to union to buy 10 ride pass....... then hea in the path until almost 10 jau go up.... when i call lawrence he was still on his way to work! ho choi vincent came out to get me.. thanks~ hehee.... turns out nothing is ready..... i got the benefits package thingy.... got my access card but no access till end of the day... met the ppl on the trade floor.... oh, the tim horton's trip and the warning about this famous mr. wilson.. hahahaaa...... and got thrown 2 textbooks to read..... grrrrrr.... boring..... mo ban fat... no computer, can't do anything, the worse is.... there's a computer in front of me, just that i don't have a login....... so read read read for the whole day... didn't lunch until 1 i think that's their normal hours, i have to get used to it i guess..... and then more reading after lunch.... oh and found out where hte kitchen is... only 2 fridges for da whole floooooooor!!! and 2 microwaves only too..... lunch time ding food line up must be super long, ho chi force ppl to buy food everyday gum.... sooooweird...... erin came back around 4-ish..... had some chats..... hope i'll get my computer tmr la.. james is already eye-ing the memory in the computer on my desk right now... hahaa..... super tired today <-- my eyes and feet (cos of high heels).....

today is mandy's big day~ omg, congratulations!!!!!!! so young jau ga dak chut... hahahaa..... ng hai siu her a, happy for her ja~~~!! :D

drove dad out, picked up wallace, changed car (of course i'm not the driver.. hahaa) and went to the church..... ho pretty wor... and first time see the groom.. wakakkakaaka...... some unexpected ppl were there too.... and saw iris + billy~ :) sooooo touching when she walked into the church... she looks like she wants to cry too..hehehee....
afterwards hai outside take ha pics gum la.... d cars on the road hai gum beep beep... hehee so funny.....
then we went for brunch... wah, haven't eat since wake up... it was already 2 something.. hungry die..... eat gor noodle soup @ gold pheonix..... then went for drifting... wkakakakaaa... yea, america crossover jap ge drifting... fast and furious a~ :P the movie ok la.... d scenes really gei ying.... can't believe they were really done by real people not edited by computers....... ging!! but the idea jau cha d lor...... race to solve problems, race over girls and revenge...... gau wai sai lo a......

dinner dinner... gei ho wor, they get to "bau" the whole restaurant since the place is small..... so its like a private party..... d food jau ma ma day la... other than the fish i didn't really exactly "love" any dish.. hahhaa..... lotsa red vinegar on the shark fins...someone jung lan sing gum wa "sik eat shark fins hai ng use vinegar ga.. " gum.. ghost ng ji meh, see the look for the soup jau ji need to add tons of vinegar la... wakakkaaka.. :P they did the "throw flower" thingy after dinner..... haha, congrats sandy..... so you're next.. :P their wedding pics really ho leng le..... some of them are very cool and ying, some of them very sweet..... the slideshow was good too..... us ng hai part of the wedding party dol quite tired...... i think they were super super tired after la... everything seems so rushed, the dishes, the games,... ohoh and there was "mo si" i guess it was from the restaurant.. soooo funny hahahahaa play george lam music while mo si.. kakakaka.... o wells, really happy for mandy la..... another stage in life..... wish her all the best with her new title "mrs. law" :D

today date jor yuiyuiyui, fei jai and dougdougdoug for lunch...... we went to that weird looking building thingy in markham for tea..... goo ng dol gum dor yan wor... we actually had to wait for a table.... dol wait jor a good 20mins or so ga...... but we sat there for like 3 hours... hahahaa.... until the ppl turned off the lights and wouldn't refill our tea bottle... :P thanks thanks thanks thanks for da lunch, next time really my treat la..... i haven't treat you guys yet~!!!

Happy Father's Day

got woke up by dad around 11 this morning... i didn't sleep till almost 4 last night.. ><~ went out with them for lunch, some uncle's new restaurant.... ma ma day la... hahaa..... went to shop for shampoo/body wash/toothbrushes afterwards.... and also had an afternoon tea - red bean ice! sooooooooooooooooooooo hot today too...... !! had trouble staying awake i actually took a nap around 430..... wah.. jeng! hahahahaa i need to sleep more before start working.... mom keeps trying to find out how much exactly i'll make a gor d...... ho chi ho pa me won't know how to handle my own money gum... sigh.....

dinner with the usual crew around 6..... yummy food tho... heheee.... and went to t&t afterwards.... "yeung gwong ling mung cha" yea~~ :D

woke up so early this morning..... headed out to loo around 10..... dad drives so fast we got there before scottie did...... lunched @ mei mei jan - yum cha..... one last time.. hahaha.... the food was slow tho we didn't get to leave until 12-ish..... parking was crazy.... we ended up parking right outside NH..... closest spots we could find.. hhaa... va arrived about the same time too!!

saw steph in da small gym! we got to take pics with both of our gowns on.. hahaa, and got my frame too..... then came dad's phone call... mom got hurt... aiyaaa!! something about door and toe.... yup, it hurt like hell.... so we took mom to HS... stayed with her for a bit.. then i went back to the pac to see what else i need to do.... then went back to HS to bring parents to the PAC..... missed the morning grad ppl for pics tim... mo ban fat la... ho choi still caught doris before mom's accident.....

the ceremony was boring as expected hahaa.... ho choi matt and henry were beside me... someone to talk to mo gum moon... :P i got my hood from david johnston a... hehee, yuen loi he used to be a director or something for canada trust! got down the stage for the pictures... and saw yuiyuiyui~~~!! omg.. heheh... she looks soooo pretty today!! she helped me take a picture... then i had to go back to my seat.......

2nd last trip to loo

today is va's big day~~

didn't do much in the morning just watch more tv and bt more.... 230 went to pick up steph.. and we headed to loo.... for our 2nd last time.. hahaa...

sooooooooo hot the weather.... spent about 1 hour taking pics and be the official ah 4 for va jai of course.... so happy to see her graduating.... all done la, not a student anymore... no need to let uw suck our money anymore.... hahaha... congratulations~!

2 more days it'll be my turn to put on the gown and go through the same thing she did today.... it an official end of the student life.... but i think we have all accepted this fact since after exam.. just a matter of going through the ceremony.... pics? here are some....

things change sooooooooooo fast...

this morning cancelled the accenture interview... which is scheduled on thurs... i lied to them saying i have an offer so won't bother with the interview..... the truth is i'm sick and tired of interviewing... and i know i won't like the job....

so keep studying/preparing for the afternoon..... oh, lunched @ td food court... wah, personally feeeeeel the world cup effect in da food court... haha, the guys "wahhhhhhh" all at the same time in front of the tv..... quite amazing~ :P

i think, i went up there 1/2 hour early..... i think they scheduled me 130 but i kept thinking its 100... anyhow, they still let me in of course... and introduced me to the team.... finally see "vincent".. hehe, i know he helped me too... turns out i have an hr interview instead of a team interview... phew~ andi studied so much yeseterday and was sooo nervous...... the hr sor ha sor ha gum, even pulled up the wrong resume to interview me.... !!

on the bus home jpmc confirmed the phone call for 7pm tonight, definitely can't go to vee's thing la... good excuse.. hahaa.... before i got off the bus denni called to ask what my intention is... the td ppl asked wor.... so i told them.... and a couple hours after i got home, erin called with the offer..... by that time i just finished notifying the references to get ready for a call! (and i found out aftewards that they really didn't call any of them.... ) so yea... pretty much verbally accepted it.. but i forgot to ask about salary.. haha...

after that le, jau found out - steph has a job too, congrats! va got a new car, congrats!! and kerri also have a job now... wahhh~~! ho chi everything has come to an end...... end of 1 stage in life.. moving on to the next, and we move together.....

i didn't tell anyone other than steph/scottie/dad... but va found out too.... didn't even tell mom cos i don't know the details yet, and dad actually suggested not to say anything.. hahaa, it was really funny during dinner how she kept asking about my interview statuses and the job market......

got some questions to ask about the job too... maybe i'll email erin tomorrow.... i know i won't sleep well tonight, but not like last night worrying.... tonight, i'm just happy my worries are over finally~ tomorrow have some emails to write, some thankyous to say.. and of course, eva's big day~

this morning, wake up jau received the email... jau hai "hei mong yuet dai, sat mong yuet dai" lor... i thought this is coming to an end... but i guess i was wrong.... this is going to be a long long battle and i'm no where close to the end..... but i did tried my best already... and i did have confidence not like before.... i don't know what else is missing....

spent the whole day learning tomcat/apache/jdk/xml/db/jdbc/etc.... tried hard not to think anymore.... i don't want to bring up any more hopes cos they'll just go away in the end... what's the point of thinking when i can't control the results anyways.....

went to get something for eva's convo...then watched isabella at home..... yau d boring the movie.... i think i have higher tolerence reading the book than watching the movie..... but isabella dol gei pretty a..... chapman jau still very fat... haha....

dinner was korean bbq beef again..... i washed sooo many dishes today, mom made 2 cakes and left the hosue without cleaning up..... so when we had to make dinner... i had to clean everything lor...then cleaned afterwards too....

the iTrip not bad wor.... eventho eat up quite a bit of my nano's battery.. but... can bypass the "registered to iTunes" thingy.... so u plug it to another computer can still take the songs and edit it in iTunes... :D

went to ikea today..... for da bookshelf...... then holt renfrew.... for da cleanser set..... then went back to assemble the shelf la...... and had dinner @ da house...... still very tired today duno why.... got home early and "bo" tv drama again.... :P

had an extra activity in the morning.. that is to find auntie and give her back her stuff..... i totally forgot that they moved last time they were here... ! but their new house is very easy to find... heheee....

study ma.... d scripts simple gor d jau ok..... complicated gor d le.... yau ng ji the structure hai dim... so hard.. ><~~~ managed to finish going through everything before shower.... but still, no good feeling about it...... hahaa.... watch me fail it tomorrow.... sigh~ me really can't learn things on my own..... my brain really quite stupid compare to other people..... hope at least i'll get something working at the test...i.e. won't get a big fat zero la...

oh yea, dad brought the iTrip back.. hehe, can use it in the car tomorrow la~~!! and finally finished "fu ji bing" last episode.... yup, been waiting to watch it after finish studying...... :) take a rest tonight... read a bit more tomorrow.... that's it....

got woke up by a phone call before 9AM! ><~~~~ didn't sleep until 2-ish last night ga ma...... but actually i'm very glad i picked up the call, eventho i had to act like i was totally awake... :P yup, its good news... so far i guess... haha... the chance that i thought i lost... i actually didn't lose it... so? more to come on tuesday.... need references too? ho chi yau d too soon... duno le.... gave them the contacts anyways.... hope that means there's good chance la.... but at the same time, really don't wana raise any hope lor... don't want another jmpc situation.... that was just... depressing.....
anyways, finished making all the emails i actually went for a nap.. of 1/2 hour... yup, that's right, a nap @ 10AM... lol..... i had to... have to be awake to study for the rest of the day ma.....!!! managed to finished ch2 + started about 20pgs of ch 3 before sleep..... pretty good eh? hehee.... but le, thinking to move the test to friday instead... less worry over the weekend, she wanted it fri anyways, and accenture is just totally ignoring me..... so..... lemme email them tomorrow.... hopefully can change it... but also that means i have to absolutely finish ch3 tmr....!! must do it!!

mom's been asking me about this "studying" like everyday... i don't wana tell her about it cos she'd think pass = offer... which if i ended up not getting anything she'd bug day and night AGAIN........ i rather just close my doors for now, study all i can.... when i get something in hand... i will tell her....

tmr will be a full study day too..... everything else needs to be paused - ie. yoga, massage, tv (yes, i mean bt gor d tv shows!), and facial..... glad to have a busy week and my next week should be pretty occupied too... :) but not every week will be like this, my job needs to come soon......

*** I can't believe I forgot sindy's bday until it was passed the day in HK time.... AIYAA!! better not do that to celia too..... me so forgetful... :( already forgot to get her something while i was in HK....

a tiring day...

first hai wake up early for yoga.... yupyup, today is va's 1st day at that yoga place..... we did ashtanga.... but it felt more like a shoulder workshop... the 90mins passed by without us noticing.... soo different from last time's ashtanga.... last time i was really non stop moving, no time for water.... this time, ho dor rest, ho dor new poses... the lady is pretty good too.. too bad she's moving soon..... went for lunch @ pheonix city... i thought we said we'd have something light! hahaa..... the bowl of noodle is huuuuuuuge!! soooo satisifed.... :P

got home, take a shower.... studied olap for about 2 hours... yau yiu get ready to go out...... going dt is soooooo ma fan, yau yiu drive to erindale, yau yiu buy bus tix.... yau yiu wait... .the bus was 20mins behind schedule too!! so scared i'd be late, ho choi took the earlier bus tim ja..... got there like 2 mins before the scheduled time.... phew~ the meeting was 1.5 hours long, i thought 1st one would be just simple questions, dim ji hai 2 ppl - bus + tech... yup, so i died in the tech one as expected..... so many things that i know i learned but just forgot..... sigh.... ><~ the meeting ended @ a good time though.. cos the train leaves at 610...

oh on the bus on the way there, got auntie's call tmr no need to drive her to dt le... nicole will help her.... :) but i still need to find her to give her back her stuff.... she's always so caring and sincere.... so tmr if va is free maybe i'll go yoga again... or else, focus on olap la!

sooo tired at night a, watched tv while reading olap slowly..... reviewed the meeting and don't have a good feeling about it... sigh, another chance gone..... i guess i really have to study super hard at olap or i'll be jobless forever... :( decided to sleep early tonight get more rest, and study more tomorrow.....

that's the standard they said.. but i have a week.. i think they will grade me harder... cos i have double the time....

anyways, back to the morning.... traffic jam on hwy even at 1030! gau chor a.... ho choi not tooo tooo too jam.. i managed to get there on time.... :) the meeting was looooooooong 30-45mins turns into 90mins!! ho choi yau water to drink..... i guess i passed today or else i wouldn't be taking the manual home to study... yup, that's what i'm studying..... 500 pages of a user's manual..... i'm only on page 80.... haha....

stupid accenture is taking forever..... gau dol me yau hold jue this one yau hold jue that one..... decided to ng lei her and schedule the others anyways la.... btw, this one i think so far is the most interesting one la.... eventho ho chi went ok smooth gum... i still don't want to put too much hope/confidence in it.... we'll see what happens when everything is really over.....

so my afternoon (after the lunch) was tv + studying la... mo take it seriously jau very slow... now i need to read super fast to catch up, suppose to finish 142 pages today.....

tmr is yoga~ and afternoon jau dt la.....

tv-jing came over after lunch..... kept watching tv and more tv and more tv....

studied/prep for tomorrow after my eat alone dinner..... back to fish noodles again... hahaa.... waterloo times.... got mom to add gas for my car again.. wakakkakakaaa..... she could've taken her own car, her choice.... :P anyways.... shouldn't be too hard tomorrow gwa.... this one sounds pretty good too ga....

makes ppl sleepy o.... went to ikea today looking @ shelfs.... didn't buy but had some idea la.... that's good.... ummm, next up jau hai find biotherm for guys.... but it smells soooooo bad! way too strong la, just cleanser ji ma! so we didn't bother buying it.....

dinner @ auntie's place so attempted to go help.... haha, of course didn't really work, what do i know to do wor, don't want to break their dishes and mess up the food.... :P oh and we watched "duk ga si oi" in the afternoon.. hehee dol ok la, some funny spots too.... dinner was good, sooo many dishes all made by auntie a... ging! but to be honest, haha, my mom d cooking ho d... :P but i know its tiring la.... gordon and his family are nice people a... :) i toook some lychee home too, dad loves it.. hahaa

heard about wallace in the afternoon as well, msged him at night to see if he's ok la.... sigh, must be the rain... wet roads....

shouldn't matter that much to me what day of the week it is.... but i'm so bored... !!
lunch w/ va today @ moxie's... aiya no bruch... hahaa, but we had a full meal - apetizer + main course + dessert..... of course shared la, how can we each eat one... :P we lunched till like 3.... so by the time we were done.. i had to go out..... ohoh, and i got the nano today! yea!! thanks va~~~ heheee, of course the contacts as well, and some other minor stuff...... :D

took the 407 today don't wana jam in traffic anymore.... didn't see someone's future "je fu" on da highway today... haha... dinner with some friends too @ 369, the food is soooooo oily... !!!

vincent's mce ho dor problems a.... me become tech support... sigh........ as he worded it, duno if its me unlucky or him lucky.....

got home of course play with the nano... hehee, hmm mor emoney to spend, fm transmitter, case, usb power adapter?? but its sooooo small..... can't wait till its fully charged.. heheeee

ashtanga yoga in the afternoon.... stupid me today is june 1st forgot they changed schedule, so i got there 1/2 hour early... hahaa.... umm... ashtanga is like power yoga.... ng stop, very dynamic... dol not that bad but i didn't sweat much.... i still like moksha more, but can't do it too often... :P

fei duen lau cheung dol gei ho watch a... not that bad... hehee...

almost forgot about celia's mom's appointment... !! ho choi talked to her jek... quickly sent another email to make sure i booked off weds..... sigh, hope she hasn't done any scheduling yet la....

aiya, no more lunch with yuiyuiyui tomorrow... maybe next week la..... but i will see va tmr!! :D mom kept rushing me to find her.... she yau ng wui disappear, sai mud rush wor....
